Live Oak Landscape Contractors and April Showers wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday and we look forward to working with you again in the New Year. We had fun with this little video – we are a small family but have the best time working together and we hope that you get a little laugh over our bloopers! Happy 2011!
Live Oak Landscape Contractors donated plantings to the Morris Museum for their exhibit “Icons of Costume: Hollywood’s Golden Era and Beyond.” There were more than 50 costumes and objects from celebrated fashion designers, from the 1940′s through the 1990′s.
Film lovers and ‘fashionistas’ will delight in seeing this exhibition, featuring fashions and accessories worn by luminous film stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Errol Flynn, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, Warren Beatty, Barbara Stanwyck, Gene Kelly, Loretta Young, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others
The crew from Live Oak created a stunning display of grasses, bamboo and two 10′ tropical plants in contemporary black containers, along with several large mums for splashes of color; all of which complemented the modern wing of the museum.
Susan Haake, garden designer with Live Oak Landscape Contractors and Master Garden is in the process of designing a Colonial Kitchen Garden at the historical Solitude House in High Bridge, New Jersey. Solitude House was built in 1725 and in 1772, William Penn, Governor of Pennsylvania and Benjamin Chew, Chief Justice, were “imprisoned” by the American Patriots. Mike Gronsky, President of the Union Forge Heritage Association talks about this historical site. Please visit their site at www. solitudehousemuseum@hotmail.com
Alan Milstein from Live Oak Landscape Contractors Maintenance and Scott Sokerka from April ShowersSprinkler Company spent the day at the Street Fair in Westfield, New Jersey, discussing deer resistant plants. Like all street fairs, it was a lot of fun but Live Oak Landscape Contractors created a beautiful mini-landscape in the heart of downtown Westfield!
Family is all important to Live Oak Landscape Contractors. Many of “our family” have been with us for over 15 years and we would not be the success we are without them.
The Valerie Fund’s mission is to provide support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders.
The Valerie Fund is a not-for-profit organization established in 1976 in memory of nine-year-old Valerie Goldstein by her parents, Ed and Sue.
Families turn to The Valerie Fund because of the unique combination of medical care, counseling, and other services it provides. The Valerie Fund Children’s Centers comprise the largest network of healthcare facilities for children with cancer and blood disorders in New Jersey, and one of the largest in the nation. We host over 25,000 patient visits each year.
Today there are seven Valerie Fund Children’s Centers for Cancer and Blood Disorders located in major hospitals in New Jersey, New York, and the Philadelphia area providing caring, comprehensive, state-of-the-art outpatient health care to more than 5,000 children and their families each year. This network means that sick children are able to receive care close to their homes. Before The Valerie Fund, many children—such as Valerie Goldstein—had to travel long distances because the treatment they needed was available only at major medical facilities located in large cities.
Live Oak Landscape Contractors want to congratulate all of our team members who volunteered their time on Saturday, June 12th for The Valerie Fund Walk-A-Thon at Verona Park, Verona, New Jersey. The Valerie Fund is for kids with cancer and rare blood disorders. This day was a success because of all of your hard work. Again, THANK YOU for a job well done!
